Long Pond HJC 1996 Plantation 22 Year Old Extreme No.3
A 22 year old rum from the Long Pond distillery in Jamaica. Distilled in 1996 on the John Doze pot still and barrelled with the mark HJC, beofre being bottled by Maison Ferrand for the Plantation Rum brand.
A well established cognac producer, Ferrand is increasingly involved in rum production, and are now the owners of the West India Rum Distillery, giving them access to stocks of Long Pond and Clarendon through its shares in National Rums of Jamaica.
Ferrand often use their barrels to finished these rums. This has spent 21 years in a bourbon cask in the tropics, and a further 1 ageing in Ferrand ex-Cognac wood in France.
Bottled at cask strength in 2018 for the third Plantation Extreme series.
