product Details

Monymusk MMW 11 Year Old Velier Tropical Aging / E&A Scheer

Produced at Clarendon distillery in Jamaica, Monymusk is the name given to the small parcels of Clarendon distillate that is matured at the Innswood site, with the majority of the remainder being sold as bulk spirit for the production of major brands.

Like Hampden, the Monymusk brand has strong Scottish roots and is one of the oldest in Jamaica.

This bottle is part of a Tropical vs Continental Aging release. This bottle contains rum that was aged in the tropics whereas the other release contains rum aged in the city of Liverpool.

Velier was founded in Genoa in 1947 as a wine and spirits importer and distributor. They selected their first single cask whiskies in 1992, bottled for them by Signatory Vintage, and have gone on to become one of the most collectible brands in the industry. Luca Gargano's involvement with the company has also positioned them as the one of the foremost authorities and bottlers of collectible rum as well.
