product Details

Jefferson’s 1785 Extra Fine Dark Rum

The Jefferson family have a long and rich history in the rum world.  They were one of the first families to import sugar (and subsequently rum) to UK shores way back in 1785.  The families original shop, courtyards, cellars and bonded warehouses are preserved in history at the Rum Story attraction in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

The rum is a blend of two pot and column distilled blends (a blend of a blend) from Guyana and Jamaica.  The average age of the rums in the overall blend when it is bottled is 8 years.

The rum is stated as being batch J-1001

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
