Port Mourant 1998 Plantation Single Cask
A 1998 vintage rum from Guyana, distilled in the Port Mourant double wooden pot still at Uitvlugt, and tropically matured for 17 years in bourbon casks in Guyana before a further 2 years in Ferrand casks and finally for 6 months in a Ocho Tequila cask
Uitvlugt closed in 2000, with the Port Mourant and its other stills moved to Diamond, the last remaining distillery in Guyana.
Plantation Rum is owned by Cognac Ferrand in France, although have recently become the proprietors of the West Indies Rum Refinery in Barbados.
