Versailles 1990 Samaroli Single Cask
A single cask demerara rum distilled at Enmore distillery in Guyana. Versailles is the single wooden pot still rescued from a lost distillery of the same name. The still is now in operation at Diamond, transferred there from Enmore via Uitvlugt after the closure of those distilleries in 1993 and then 2000, respectively.
Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2007 from single cask #119 by Samaroli.
Samaroli is perhaps Italy's most revered independent bottler of Scotch whisky. With an impeccable taste in single cask whiskies, and an eye for aesthetics (if not English spelling at times!), he is regarded by many as a visionary. Many of his bottles now occupy deserved sports on the pantheon of whisky greats, and their rum output under the tenure of Antonio Bleve is increasingly revered as well.
Bottle 311 of 346.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
