product Details

Bacardi Carta Blanca circa 1915-1919

An historic old bottle of Bacardi white rum, distilled by the Bacardi family at their original Cuban distillery. The facility was managed by Facundo M. Bacardi, who oversaw their expansion into Spain and the US, with officed and bottling plants in Barcelona and New York.

The New York arm was opened in 1915, but closed shortly after, in 1919 with the expected Prohibition Act coming into force the following year. Bacardi would find themselves back in the US many decades later, after their assets were seized during the Cuban revolution, and the family exiled from the island.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
