Providence First Drops White Rum
Distillerie de Port-au-Prince was established in 2018 as a collaboration between La Maison & Verlier and Herbert Barbancourt-Linge Jr. - Master Distiller and decedent of Labbé Barbancourt who co-founded with his brother, the famed Barbancourt distillery. Distillery Port-au-Prince resurrects and preserves the traditional style of rum produced at Barbancourt until 1992 when production shifted to column distillate. Running a steam heated Muller copper pot still with a 6 plate column attached designed to the technical specifications of Vittorio 'Gianni' Capovilla, the first spirits were drawn in November 2019.
Those first spirits are presented here as the Providence First Drops. Organic Cristaline cane sugar sourced Michel Sajous (who produces Clairin Sajous also imported and distributed by LM&V) and cane syrup are single distilled, blended and redistilled ro produce this pure single white rum of Haiti.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
