Renegade Pre-Cask Single Farm Origin Dunfermline Harvest 2020

The idea for the Renegade rum distillery was conceived in 2015 by former Bruichladdich Managing Director, Mark Reynier, and the name of the distillery is taken from a brand of independent rum bottlings that his Murray McDavid company bottled there during that time. Having sold Bruichladdich to Remy Cointreau in 2012, Reynier turned his attention to two new terroir-focussed projects, first the Waterford distillery In Ireland, and then this rum distillery on the Windward Island of Grenada. Like Waterford, Renegade uses exclusively locally-sourced raw materials. The distillery produces a fresh single cane spirit on a combination of a double-retort copper pot still and bespoke column stills made by Forsyths in Scotland. Production commenced in 2020, and the first rum was bottled and sold the following year.

Like their Waterford distillery in Ireland, this is the Single Farm Origin range and explores the natural terroir of Granada. Dunfermline was column-distilled from Lacalome Red cane, harvested in 2020.
