Clairin World Championship 2017
Part of a series of releases from Velier, the darling of the Rum world, highlighting the fantastic terroir focused rums of Haiti, known by locals and insiders as clairin. Each is the product of a single distiller and exclusively from pure juice - in the style of agricole - from cane grown in the villages adjoining fields.
The three most prominent distillers of clairin in Haiti are Michel Sajous, Fritz Vaval and Faubert Casimir.
This is a blend of clairin from all three, bottled to honour the Clairin World Championship 2017, wherein Luca Gargano lead eight of the world's finst bartenders on a tour of the island, challenging them to devise the best cocktail. The event was held at Hotel Florita in Jacmel.
The blend contains Romelus, Vaval,Sajous and Casimir.
