Port Mourant 1989 SMWS Shareholders Bottling

A very rare bottling of 'Port Morant' rum, distilled in 1989. The Port Mourant distillery in Guyana stopped production in the 1950s, with its double wooden pot still moved to Uitvlugt who continued to produce rum in the same style. Uitvlugt is now also closed, but the Port Mourant still lives on to this day, in use at Guyana's only remaining distillery, Diamond.

This was bottle from Fino sherry cask #2 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, exclusively for its shareholders.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
