Enmore 2002 Silver Seal
An Enmore rum, distilled in 2002 and bottled by Silver Seal in support of the Rock No War Project in Zimbabwe.
Enmore closed its doors in 1995 and the original wooden coffey still that gave this rum its unique character were relocated to Uitvlugt, which itself closed in 1999. The still is now in operation at Diamond, where this was produced.
Silver Seal was founded by Ernesto Mainardi in 2000. This was Mainardi's second bottling company after the esteemed Sestane in 1979. Both companies were sold to Massimo Righi, proprietor of Whisky Antique, in 2010. Since then the company has produced a steady stream of high quality rum to add to its sought after back-catalogue.
One of 840 bottles.
