Individual sellers deliver bottles that they wish to sell to our office. Once they have been authenticated, the bottles are listed on the website in the next auction. Rum Auctioneer hosts rum auctions on a frequent basis, during which registered users can bid on the bottles. The highest bidder at the close of the auction is then notified and asked for payment. The seller receives payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction.
VAT is applicable to all fees and surcharges.
Delivery charges are inclusive of VAT, where applicable.
Please note VAT is not applicable to the hammer price of the rum.
Due to the governing laws for licensing in Scotland, there is a minimum price for alcohol units. As a result we have introduced a minimum bid price for each item, £15 will be the starting bid for most bottles of rum, but this will be calculated on a lot by lot basis.
The value of a bottle of rum is constantly fluctuating according to supply and demand. Rum Auctioneer can provide a valuation according to the latest market trends. If you would like a valuation, email a description of the rum you have along with a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org. All valuations are free of charge.
If you are successful, once payment is received by Whisky Auctioneer your whisky will be dispatched within 7 working days.
UK Orders normally arrive within two days of dispatch.
European Orders normally arrive within five days of dispatch.
The rest of the world can vary dependent on location.
If you need an item faster, please let us know and we'll see what we can do.
You can submit as many bottles as you like.
Rum Auctioneer reserves the right to restrict, in the case of new releases from a single seller, to one bottle per auction.
Rum Auctioneer has many years of experience in the rum and auction industries and we would be happy to provide you with an expert valuation.
Estimates are provided using recent auction sale prices online and in-house.
For a free valuation please email email@example.com or call 01738 245 576.
A photograph of the items may be required.
