Seller Fees and Payment Terms
Rum Auctioneer is committed to building trust and confidence with our customers by being transparent about all fees and charges throughout the selling process.
You can find all seller fees and payment terms detailed below. Please note, all fees quoted are exclusive of VAT.
Registration fee
£5
Our one-off registration fee provides lifetime access to buy and sell in all of our auctions. It is required to help us authenticate our customers and mitigate against illegitimate bidding.
Selling commision
5% of final hammer price
Selling commission is added to your invoice and deducted from your payment total after your lots have sold.
Listing fee
£7.00 per bottle
Reserve fee
£10 per lot
To protect the value of your bottles, you can set a reserve price for each lot, ensuring a minimum value is achieved if the lot sells.
The minimum reserve price is £200, and reserve prices should not exceed 80% of the most recent hammer price within the past 12 months. For new releases, reserve prices should not exceed the RRP within 12 months.
*All reserve prices are subject to Rum Auctioneer's discretion. If you have any questions about selling with us, please complete our Seller Form, and a member of our Client Service team will get back to you within one working day.
Supplementary Charges
If needed, we can supply packing materials (£5 per bottle plus shipping costs) to ensure the safe and secure transit of your bottle(s).
We strive to offer free bottle collections, either through our dedicated service or by courier, whenever possible. If this isn’t feasible, we will provide a quote for collection fees.
International transfer fees
If we are sending your seller payment internationally, please note that it may be subject to international transfer fees, which must be accepted by the seller.
Payment terms
Where your item sells, we will make payment to you within 21 business days of the auction closing.
Frequently Asked Questions
