Bar Metro

BarMetro was a world-famous whisky bar and shop located in Milan, Italy. It was opened in 1967 by Georgio d'Ambrosio, a whisky connoisseur and early advocate for single malt Scotch.

Over the years, BarMetro worked with various independent bottlers to obtain exclusive bottlings of whisky and rum, and latterly partnered with the Milano Rum Festival. Georgio d'Ambrosio called time on the venture in 2018, shortly after its 50th anniversary. A new business of the same name exists in its location, however they are unrelated.
