Gordon & MacPhail

Gordon & MacPhail (G&M) is the trading name for a Scottish whisky company called Speymalt Whisky Distributors Ltd. The modern company was established in 1962 but the G&M name dates back all the way to 1895. The company was originally founded as a blender before beginning to independently bottle single malts in the late 1970s. Due to its longevity, the company had numerous long-standing relationships with distillers that allowed it dispensation to provide its own casks to be filled, which were then aged at its warehouses in Elgin. In 2024 however, the company announced it would stop buying third-party spirit in order to focus on its own distillery portfolio.

While primarily a whisky company, G&M has also released some sought-after rum over the years. Along these are a rare 1941 vintage from Long Pond and several 1970s vintage Demerara rums.
