Blender, Independent Bottler

Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd is a Scottish distilling company, originally founded as Peter J. Russell & Co in 1957. It acquired Ian Macleod & Co in 1963, running it as a subsidiary independent bottling company. Although mostly tasked with bottling single cask Scotch whisky, it has produced a number of notable rums over the years, including two standout Long Pond vintages under the Old Jamaique label. The company changed its name to Ian Macleod Distillers in 2004 and despite now having a portfolio of distilleries, it continues to interpedently bottle single casks (some of which are occasionally rum).

The company also markets several of its own rum labels, produced using casks sourced in the Caribbean. These include the historic Trawler and Watson's brands, as well as King Robert II and Langs flavoured rums.
