Japan Rum Association

Japan Rum Association (also known as R.U.M. Japan) is a Japanese collective that aims to promote rum as a spirits category in the country. It was founded in 2008 by specialist rum shop and bar owners, Shinobu Ebisawa (Screw Driver), Chie Tato (Tafia), Ryo Harada (Bar King Rum) and Yuki Sato (Bar Julep).

The association has a number of activities that include selecting and promoting its own private cask selections, and organising the Japan Rum Connection events.
