Neptune Rum Ltd

Neptune Rum Ltd is an English rum company, originally founded in 2016 by Richard Davies and James Molloy. The former was a bar owner in Gloucester but sold his businesses to focus on the rum brand. Unfortunately, the company was hit financially by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and eventually saved from insolvency by James Strickland and Raymond Pugh. The pair then sold a 50% stake in the company to Babco in 2021 and the remainder the following year.

The company launched the Neptune Rum brand in 2017, introducing its Barbados Gold expression which was made in collaboration with Foursquare distillery. Under Babco ownership the product range has increased to include spiced rums and a variety of flavoured spirit drinks.
