Goslings is a historic brand name used to market rum blended and bottled in Bermuda by Gosling Brothers Ltd using spirit sourced from distilleries across the Caribbean. The company has been blending rum since 1860, originally known as its Old Rum before being renamed Black Seal in 1948 - which remains its flagship label to this day. Other Goslings rums include its Papa Seal single barrels and its premium revival of the Old Rum name. The latter is sold in champagne-style bottles in the same fashion as it was during the first world war when these were the most easily obtained containers, reclaimed from the British Officer’s Mess.
The Goslings name also appears on pre-mixed drinks, ginger beer and tonic water. While Goslings Brothers are responsible for the sale of the brand domestically, the export rights are owned by Gosling-Castle Partners, a business formed with Castle Brands in 2005. Castle bought a controlling stake in 2017 before being acquired itself by Pernod Ricard in 2019.
