Andaman Distillers Co

The idea for the Chalong Bay distillery was conceived by French entrepreneurs, Thibault Spithakis and Marine Lucchini. The former's grandfather had established a winery in France in the 1950s and the latter's family had worked in spirits distribution. Their combined experience saw them converge on the dream of bringing the distilling tradition of the French Caribbean to Thailand.

Together they founded Andaman Distillers Co with partners, Khun Dao, Khun Lek, and Khun Pang, and the Chalong Bay distillery was opened in 2012. It sold its first rum later that year.

The company's main market is its native Thailand, however it has an increasing portfolio of international distributors for its products which include rum liqueurs and spiced rums alongside its proprietary rhum agricole style product.
