Engenho Novo da Madeira Lda

Engenho Novo da Madeira Lda (also known as ENM Lda) is a rum company established on the Portuguese island of Madeira in 2006. It was founded by descendants of the Hinton family, former owners of one of Europe's largest sugarcane processing plants, Fábrica do Torreão. In its time, the factory had produced some rum, and although it closed in 1986, its column still had been retained and became the basis of the new company's Engenho Novo distillery.

Engenho Novo produced its first agricola rum spirit in 2009, and the company began marketing this using the William Hinton brand name in 2017.
