Ernest Lambert & Co was a company in Martinique that owned the Saint James rum brand in the first half of the 20th century. It was established in 1905 by Ernest and Eugene Lambert in order to revive their distillery operation at Trou-Vaillant in Saint-Pierre, which has been damaged by (although ultimately survived) the eruption of Mount Pelée three years prior. The business had previously belonged to their father, François-Paulin Lambert.
The company quickly extended the land holdings of Plantations Saint-James, acquiring estates in Rivière-Blanche in 1911, Acajou in Lamentin in 1912 and Fonds-Bourlet at Case-Pilot in 1929. It eventually sold its Rhum Saint-James SA subsidiary and its associated assets (which included the brand and Trou-Vaillant and Acajou estates) to the Marquis de Vibraye in 1955.
