Groupe Jose Pirbakas Holding

Groupe Jose Pirbekas SAS (also referred to as Groupe JBH) is a large holding company established by Guadeloupe businessman, Jose Pirbakas, in 2013. The group has subsidiary interests across several industries, including sugar and rum production.

Its primary rum interest in the Distillerie Séverin, originally located on the Basse-Terre island of Guadeloupe. The company bought 30% of it in 2013 and a further 35% in 2014, however disputes with the former owners (who still owned the estate on which it was located) eventually saw the distillery shut down in 2019. It continues to market the Séverin brand however, and it also owns a minority stake in the Poisson distillery on Marie-Galante.
