Havana Club International

Havana Club International SA is a company established in 1993 and is a partnership between the Cuban government's Corporación Cuba Ron (Cubaron) and the French multinational, Pernod Ricard. The joint-venture was a result of dwindling international sales of the Havana Club brand following the collapse of the Soviet bloc in Europe in the 1980s, with the Cuban government requiring the significant market influence of Pernod Ricard to expand it's reach into new markets.

The company is a 50:50 venture between both parties, with Cubaron managing production and bottling of the rum while Pernod Ricard is tasked with its sales, distribution and marketing.
