Jessel Securities

Jessel Securities Ltd was a a British company founded in 1956 by Oliver Jessel. It had subsidiary interests in a number of different industries across the world, including finance, steel, ferries, and more notably, Guyanese sugar.

It was the owner of both the Diamond sugar estate, and its distillery which was managed by the company, Diamond Liquors Ltd. It was forced to relinquish it in 1975 however, as the government began to nationalise its sugar industry. Jessel Securites Ltd was later dissolved, and Oliver Jessel passed away in 2017.
