The Joseph Banks Rums Corporation was the originator and former owner of the Banks rum brand. It was founded in 2008 by Arnaud de Trabuc, a former CEO of the House of Angostura and president of Cognac producer, Thomas Hine & Company.
The company ceased operations in 2015 when it announced a deal to sell the Banks brand to Bacardi Limited.
