Privateer International

Privateer International LLC is an American spirits company based in Ipswich, Massachusetts. It was founded in 2010 by Andrew Cabot, a sixth-generation ancestor of the 18th century rum merchant, distiller and privateer of the same name. The company opened name its distillery Privateer in homage to him, which produced its first spirits in 2011.

The company markets all of its spirits under the Privateer brand name, which is predominantly rum alongside the occasional gin. The company name, Privateer International, appears as the brand identity on bottlings of its Distillers Drawer and Letter of Marque limited editions.
