Takehiro Co

Takehiro Co Ltd is a Japanese auto-parts manufacturer, headquartered in Anjō  in Aichi Prefecture. It was originally founded as a lumber dealer in 1909 by Hirokichi Takeuchi, eventually evolving into the car parts trade in 1938 by delivering materials to Toyota-affiliated dealers. The company has existed in its current form since its incorporation as Takehiro Co Ltd in 1949.

In 2013 the company made the unusual step of entering the rum production industry. The move was driven by one of its partners, Yoshiharu Takeuchi, who is today the manager and distiller of the Nine Leaves distillery and its eponymous brand. Sadly, his commitments to the parent company forced him to call an untimely end to the project after just ten years and the final spirit was distilld in 2023.
