October 2026 Auction

This month we have a fantastic selection of rare and characterful rums, spanning historic Velier releases, exceptional vintage Demerara and distinctive bottlings from across the Caribbean.

Leading the highlights is the legendary Skeldon 1978 Full Proof, released by Velier in 2005. Distilled from the SWR mark associated with the long-closed Skeldon plantation, the rum spent an extraordinary 27 years ageing in tropical Guyana before being discovered by Luca Gargano and bottled from just three casks.

We also feature the Versailles 1985 11 Year Old, a Guyanese Demerara rum distilled at the historic Versailles Distillery and bottled by Velier for the Italian market in 1996. Alongside this, discover Wray & Nephew Private Stock 'Rum of Great Age', an enigmatic and highly sought-after Jamaican bottling imported to Italy by P. Soffiantino & Co of Genova.

Among the highlights are three releases from the Rhum Rhum Liberation series, with the 2015, 2017 and 2020 editions appearing in this month's auction. Produced on Marie-Galante, Guadeloupe, the series was created through a collaboration between master distiller Gianni Vittorio Capovilla and Velier's Luca Gargano, and has become highly regarded among rum collectors.

The auction also features nine bottles from the Flag Series, including the Madinina 2017 4 Year Old, a cask strength Martinique rum distilled in a Creole column and matured in Bourbon barrels. Limited to just 250 bottles and produced exclusively for employees of La Maison du Whisky, the Madinina has appeared in our auctions only a handful of times, making this a particularly interesting opportunity for collectors.

Completing the highlights are vintage Demerara rums from Moon Import, including a 1990 Port Mourant and 1994 Enmore, offering a fascinating glimpse into some of Guyana's most celebrated distilleries and the golden age of independent rum bottling.
