Released in 2016, Extrême No.1 was the first batch of dosage-free rums from Maison Ferrand's Plantation brand. They are unusual for the label which generally offers its rums with varying amounts of added sugar.

The three releases were distilled in Barbados, Saint Lucia and Trinidad. Each was exclusive to one of the brand's distribution partners and in each instance celebrated an anniversary. The Barbados rum was part of La Maison du Whisky's 60th anniversary selections, while the other two commemorated 10 years of The Nectar in Belgium.
