Next auction starts Friday, 10 October. Ready to sell your rum? Sell with us in our next auction
Discover and bid on unique, rare and collectible rums in our online auctions each month.
You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.
Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.
Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £5.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).
Incremental Bidding Explained
Our system increases bids based on preset increments, as shown in the table below, whether you set a maximum bid or make a single bid.
Damoiseau 1998 Milan Rum Festival 21 Year Old
Single cask rum distilled at Damoiseau distillery in Guadeloupe, labelled here as Bellevue after the plantation in which it is located. Distilled in March 1998 and bottled in March 2019 after the cask was selected by Andrea Giannone and Giuseppe Dolci for an exclusive Milan Rum Festival release.
One of 252 bottled at Navy strength.
Originally known as the Bellevue au Moule distillery, Damoiseau is located in the Bellevue estate in Grande-Terre, and was established in the 19th century by the Rimbaud family of Martinique. It was bought by Roger Damoiseau in 1942, who converted it into a rum agricole distillery, which is today run by his grandson, Herve. The distillery operates three column stills and produces both agricole rum as well as molasses-derived spirit during the months outside of cane-cutting season. Damoiseau is one of the largest Guadeloupe distilleries, accounting for close to half of its overall production.
