Karukera 2009 Japoniani 11 Year Old
This is a rhum vieux agricole from the Karukera cellars in Guadeloupe. A 2009 vintage, this was bottled from a single cask at 11 years old. This is part of a trio of rums released in 2020, known as the Japoniani due to featuring labels sketched by Luca Gargano on a flight from Japan back to Italy.
Longueteau
A historic distillery on the Basse-Terre island of the Guadeloupe archipelago. It is currently owned by Distillerie Longuetau SARL and produces its eponymous brands as well as the Karukera label.
Velier
An Italian importer and distributor founded in Genoa in 1947. Under the ownership of Luca Gargano since 1986, it has become one of the most important companies in the world rum. It represents a huge array of brands in Europe as well as marketing a number of its own.
