Uitvlugt
A sugar factory in Guyana that operated a rum distillery until 1999. Pronounced [eye-flut], it was located on the west bank of the Demerara river near the Dutch-established town of the same name. The distillery operated a number of historic stills, many of which are still in operation at Diamond.
L'Esprit
A brand of independently bottled single cask whiskies and rum. Introduced in 2010, it is marketed by Whisky & Rhum, a retailer based in Vannes in north-western France.
Whisky & Rhum
The trading name for the French company, Skye High Spirits. Primarily a retail operation, it has locations in Vannes and Rennes and was founded in 2007 by Tristan Prodhomme. It also produces its own brand of independent bottlings called L'Esprit.
