Grupo Azucarero Azcuba is a Cuban wholly state-owned Cuban company that operates within the country's nationalised sugar industry. It was established in 2011 to replace the government's Ministry of Sugar as part of a strategy to combat declining sugar production and revenue, as well as wider economic reforms.
The company is primarily tasked with the cultivation and harvest of sugarcane, however it has also also diversified its production of derivatives, which include rum making (distinct from that of fellow state-owned Corporación Cuba Ron). It notably owns the Heriberto Duquesne Central distillery and in 2019 it formed a co-venture with The Island Rum Company called Ron Vigia SA (to which is contributes the spirit for the latter's brands).
