Destilería Serrallés Inc

Destilería Serrallés Inc is the oldest family-owned company in Puerto Rico and has its headquarters in the city of Ponce. It was established in 1865 and opened its first rum distillery at the Hacienda Mercedita the same year, using a still imported from France by Juan Serrallés Colón. The company continues to be primarily engaged in rum production to this day, however has a number of other subsidiary interests as well, including hotel and golf resorts, as well as solar energy.

The modern Serrallés distillery was opened in 1935 and is the production centre for the company's flagship Don Q rum brand, which it launched the year prior.
