HSE SAS

HSE SAS is a company founded in 1994 by Yves Hayot as SONOFA in order to acquire the Habitation Saint Etienne distillery and estate from the André Dormoy group. The distillery had been in a state of decline for many years prior, and the company opted not to revive it, instead turning it into an ageing facility for rums distilled at Hayot's Simon distillery.

The company bottles these rums and markets them using the HSE brand name, introduced in 2005 and adopting the initials as its new company name in the process.
