Licorerías Unidas SA

Licorerías Unidas SA is a former distilling company, established in Venezuela in 1959. A co-venture between the Seagram Company of Canada and consortium of local distributors, its distillery in La Miel (known as LUSA) opened in the same year and was built using stills acquired from other Seagram plans, including Scottish pot stills and an unusual batch kettle still.

In its day, the company's brands included Cacique and Diplomático. It was dissolved following the demise of Seagram in 2001 however, and the distillery sold to Diageo. It is now owned by Destilerías Unidas SA and better known as DUSA.
