product Details

Bacardi Carta de Oro 1980s

A bottle of Bacardi gold rum, produced in Mexico.

Whilst the brand expanded production (specifically into Mexico and Puerto Rico) through the first half of the 20th century, Santiago would remain the heart of the business until the Cuban revolution when the family's assets were seized and the company relocated it's headquarters to Bermuda.

With no mention of the company's New York office on the label, this bottle likely dates to the Prohibition era of the 1920s, prior to the the updating of the logo displayed here to a new version in 1931.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
