Albion 1984 Velier Selection
This is an Albion marque rum, bottled in 2002 for Velier. It forms part of a three-bottle collection that served as a precursor to the famous Velier and Demerara Distillers Ltd (DDL) collaboration that began three years later.
This and the Diamond and Port Mourant rum released at the same time were all fully tropically aged (a first for Velier at the time) and selected directly from the DDL warehouses in Guyana.

A sugar factory in Guyana that operated a rum distillery until 1999. Pronounced [eye-flut], it was located on the west bank of the Demerara river near the Dutch-established town of the same name. The distillery operated a number of historic stills, many of which are still in operation at Diamond.
