Demerara Distillers Ltd

Demerara Distillers Ltd is a rum company in Guyana, originally established by its government in 1983 through the merger of Guyana Distilleries Ltd and Diamond Liquors Ltd. Following a period of consolidation, the company operates a single distillery in its home country, Diamond, however it is home to a number of the historic stills from those that were closed. Among these are the world's only remaining wooden stills. In addition, it has subsidiary interests across the Caribbean and Europe, including a one-third stake in National Rums of Jamaica Ltd and its Clarendon and Long Pond distilleries.

The company markets a number of rum brands, chief among which is the El Dorado label. It also produces Diamond Reserve, CSR and Belmont Estate, among others.
