Caña Brava was a rum brand launched in 2013 by The 86 Company. It was introduced as part of a portfolio of new spirits brands aimed directly at bartenders and mixologists, and was joined by Ford's Gin, Aylesbury Duck vodka and Tequila Cabeza. At launch, the product was available as a sole 3-year-old, later joined by a 7-year-old in 2019. The rum was sourced from Panama at what is now the SER Alcoholes distillery Las Cabras.
The success of the Ford's Gin brand saw The 86 Company acquired by the Brown-Foreman Corporation in 2019, leading the discontinuation of Caña Brava that year.
