SER Alcoholes is a distillery in Las Cabras, Panama that is part of the sugar and rum production holdings of Nicaraguan multinational, Grupo Pellas, who acquired it in 2009. It was originally built by the government in Panama in 1977 as a sugar mill, before being converted into a distillery in 1986 by private Spanish company called Azucares y Alcholos SA, who then sold it to Alcoholes del Istmo SA in 1997.
The distillery produces alcohol for a range of different industries, and its rum is managed by Consorcio Licorero Nacional SA and its master blender, Francisco Jose Fernandez Perez (better known as Don Pancho). Of particular note is the distillery's use of an old copper still built by Copper & Brass Works of Cincinnati in 1922, which is the final column of its five-column setup.
