Providence

Providence is a brand of pot-distilled rum from Haiti, owned and marketed by La Maison & Velier (LM&V). It is distilled by Herbert Linge at the Port-au-Prince distillery, a joint-venture between LM&V and his company, Berling SA. The rum is distilled from Cristalline sugarcane syrup produced in Saint-Michel-de-l'Attalaye, and is distilled on a bain-marie copper pot still.

The brand debuted in 2020 with launch of its first expression, an unaged rum called First Drops, followed by Dunder & Syrup in 2021. The inaugural aged release was bottled in 2022 from a vatting of twenty-four ex-Caroni barrels.
