Fierro Group

The Fierro Group, also known as Grupo Iberoamericano de Fomento or Grupo IF, is a Spanish multinational with interests in the industrial and economic sectors in Spain and South America. It was founded in Peru as a group of match factories by Ildefonso Fierro in 1961.

The company invested in the rum industry in 1994 through its purchase of the Cartavio brand and its distillery in La Libertad, Peru. It runs these through its subsidiary, Cartavio Rum Company, which has previously been known as Industrial Cartavio and Destilerías Unidas (DUSAC).
