Grupo Pellas

Grupo Pellas is a Nicaragua-based multinational with business interests across the central America region. It was founded as the Nicaragua Sugar Estates in 1890 by Francisco Alfredo Pellas and is still family-owned to this day. The company is involved in banking, sugar, rum, ethanol, media, insurance, citrus, health care, auto dealerships and high-end tourism.

Its rum interests are primarily its Flor de Caña brand which is produced as its SER Licorera distillery along with Ron Plata. The sugarcane used at the distillery is processed at its SER San Antonio facility (formerly Ingenio San Antonio).
