House of Angostura

Angostura Ltd is a company in Trinidad that trades as House of Angostura. It was established in 1870 as J.G.B Siegert & Hijos before being reconstituted as Angostura Bitters Ltd on 30th August 1921 (later shorted to its current title in 1992). The company is currently  a subsidiary of Angostura Holdings Ltd, which is in turn owned by CL Financial, however the future of that structure is unclear with the parent company entering liquidation at the end of 2022.

The company is best-known for its Angostura rum and bitters brands. Its rums are produced through its Trinidad Distillers Ltd subsidiary in Laventille and it also markets the former Fernandes Distillers Ltd brands which it acquired in 1973.
