The Richland distillery in Brunswick is one of two rum production facilities owned by the Richland Distilling Company in Georgia, USA. The company originally began producing rum at its Vennebroeck Estate in the early 2000s before opening a new distillery in 2008 at the request of the mayor of Richland who was looking to revitalise the town's economy. The Brunswick distillery was announced in 2016, producing its first spirit two years later.
Operating a pair of copper pot stills produced by Hoga in Portugal, the distillery produces rum using sugarcane syrup produced in-house using the company's Vennebroeck Estate-grown cane. It is primarily tasked with producing a spirit referred to as Virgin Coastal Rum, which is bottled unaged under the Richland Rum brand. Some spirit is also set down in casks.
