Twenty Third Street is a distillery in Renmark in the state of South Australia. Although it only opened in 2016, its buildings date back to 1914 and over the years have been owned by Chateau Tanunda, Renmano Wines, Berri Estate and Hardy’s Wine. The distillery is run by Black Bottle Distilling Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of the Vok Beverages division of the Bickford's Group, who also own the Beenleigh distillery.
A multidisciplinary operation, the distillery operates three pot still which were manufactured in 1914 by H. Jennings of Adelaide, Australia. On them they produce a range of spirits that include gin, rum, brandy and even ouzo.
While the distillery makes a number of different spirit types, they are all bottled and marketed under the same brand name, which is stylised as "23rd St." Its debut products were its white spirits, specifically its gin and vodka. Its first rum was released in 2020 and single malt whisky followed in 2021.
The brand currently markets a single rum expression called Signature Rum. The spirit is double-distilled on the distillery's pot stills using a wash of fermented Australian cane juice. It is then aged in ex-bourbon barrels.
