El Dorado Blended in the Barrel

The Blended in the Barrel series is a collection of limited edition releases from Demerara Distillers Ltd's El Dorado brand. Introduced in 2019, the range explores the variety of different rum profiles that can be created by blending the various marques produced at Diamond distillery and ageing them prior to bottling. The series is a follow-up to the successful collection of similarly Blended in the Barrel rums released by the company in collaboration with Velier SpA in 2014. Those bottlings were the result of the first experiments with this process and the El Dorado expressions are a further refinement of it.

The debut El Dorado releases were actually produced in 2018 and part of its Rare Collection series before this specific line extension was introduced the following year. Rums blended in the series include those from the historic wooden stills at Diamond, and a rare GS/20 marque.
