A bottle of the now discontinued 1873, distilled in Puerto Rico and bottled in Canada.
Known affectionately as the "Cathedral of Rum," this is the world's largest rum-producing distillery and accounts for the majority of production of the Bacardi brand. The distillery is located in the Cataño suburb of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
A rum brand originally created in Cuba in 1862. The Bacardi company's assets were seized by Fidel Casto's government in 1960 and it has never returned to the island. Despite this, it has gone from strength to strength over its long history and is now the best-selling rum label in the world.
A household name on account of its eponymous brand of rum, Bacardi Limited is a multi-faceted drinks conglomerate that owns over 200 different brands. The company's other rum labels include Castillo, Banks, Single Cane Estate Rums, Pyrat, Santa Teresa and Facundo.
